Colliding Scopes Theatre came about when
co-founders Aimee Bouchard and Michelle Yagi wanted to create a piece of devised theatre based on Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray. When at a loss for performance space, the collective decided to use Aimee's apartment, and to their surprise, this use of "found space" became a successful vehicle to tell the story and engage their audience.
Five years later, Colliding Scopes is still an ensemble-driven theatre company dedicated to creating works of devised theatre, using found spaces to immerse our audiences in the worlds of the classic stories we tell.
